As an Occupational Health Nurse at Waupaca Foundry’s Tell City facility, you will play a vital role in delivering care for job-related injuries and illnesses, supporting safety initiatives, and promoting employee health. You will work collaboratively with safety, environmental, and management teams to assess workplace hazards, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of health and safety. This night-shift position (approx. 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM) is ideal for a compassionate, detail-oriented nursing professional who values proactive health management and employee advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid, emergency treatment, follow-up, and referral care for job-related injuries and illnesses

  • Collaborate with safety and environmental departments to identify workplace hazards and implement corrective actions

  • Facilitate training programs for First Responders, Emergency Teams, and occupational health topics

  • Coordinate drug/alcohol testing, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and health screenings

  • Maintain accurate employee medical records and compliance with OSHA, industrial hygiene, and company standards

  • Assist with Workers Compensation case management and cost containment strategies

  • Participate in safety meetings, incident investigations, and regulatory audits

  • Support ergonomics initiatives and employee wellness programs

Qualifications

  • Current state license as an LPN or RN (Indiana)

  • CPR/AED certified

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, policies, and procedural manuals

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including report writing

  • Intermediate computer proficiency preferred

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively

  • Prior experience in occupational health, safety, or industrial nursing preferred
