Medical Imaging Receptionist

About the Role

The Medical Imaging Receptionist plays a critical role in supporting diagnostic imaging services at Perry County Memorial Hospital. This position serves as a primary point of contact for patients and clinical staff, ensuring efficient communication, accurate data entry, and smooth patient flow within the imaging department.

This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare setting while providing excellent patient service.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary front-desk contact for the medical imaging department

• Greet and assist patients in a professional, courteous manner

• Schedule and coordinate imaging appointments

• Accurately enter and maintain patient information in computer systems

• Communicate effectively with clinical staff and patients to ensure smooth workflow

• Maintain attention to detail and accuracy under time-sensitive conditions

• Assist with transporting patients as needed

• Navigate and work efficiently in close quarters around imaging equipment

• Comply with hospital policies, patient privacy standards, and safety procedures

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Licensure & Certification

• Current CPR certification required

• Must provide and maintain copies of all licensure and certifications, including renewals

Experience

• Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment

• Strong attention to detail and computer data-entry accuracy

• Ability to manage periods of close concentration and job-related stress

• Ability to lift and transport items or assist patients up to approximately 50 pounds

• Frequent standing, sitting, stooping, bending, and walking

• Ability to maneuver in tight or confined spaces around medical equipment

• Normal (or corrected) vision and hearing required
