As a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and supporting medical staff. Responsibilities include assisting with clinical procedures, performing phlebotomy, and ensuring efficient workflow within the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and medical procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy and handle specimen collection.
- Accurately record and maintain patient information.
- Understand and follow clinical instructions with sound judgment.
- Handle arithmetic operations quickly and accurately.
- Coordinate hand-eye movements for precise tasks.
- Lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds, and carry objects up to 25 pounds.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure/Certification:
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred, but not required.
Experience:
- Prior experience as a phlebotomist and/or medical assistant preferred but not required.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to understand instructions, reason, and make informed decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze visual and written information.
- Manual dexterity and coordination to perform precise clinical procedures.
- Ability to differentiate colors for accurate medical assessments.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, on-site position at 13th Street Clinic in Tell City, IN.
