About the Role

As a Medical Assistant at Tell City Clinic, part of Perry County Memorial Hospital, you’ll play an essential role in supporting physicians and healthcare providers by preparing patients for exams, collecting specimens, documenting vital signs, and assisting with procedures. Your contribution will help ensure smooth, efficient clinical operations and excellent patient experiences. This role is well-suited for a motivated individual with strong attention to detail and a passion for healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history.
• Perform phlebotomy duties as needed.
• Support clinical procedures and help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Provide front and back-office support including clerical duties and patient communication.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures in all clinical activities.
• Demonstrate professionalism and compassion in all patient interactions.

Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred but not required.
• Prior experience as a medical assistant or phlebotomist is helpful but not mandatory.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and carry up to 25 lbs.
