As an Adjunct Faculty – Math/Student Success Instructor at Ivy Tech, you will play a key role in helping students succeed by teaching math and student success content tailored for adult learners in an industry setting. You will create a positive and engaging learning environment, guide students toward their educational goals, and evaluate progress through instruction and assessment aligned with Ivy Tech’s curriculum.
This is a temporary, part-time position, typically assigned on a semester basis.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver effective in-person instruction in accordance with Ivy Tech’s standardized syllabus and course outcomes

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and participation

Provide timely feedback and support to students during and outside of class

Use instructional technology as appropriate (e.g., PowerPoint, LMS, etc.)

Report absences and submit required information in a timely manner

Promote respect for diversity in the classroom and adhere to college policies

Communicate regularly with program coordinators and participate in required meetings

Foster a supportive learning environment and engage students actively in the learning process
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
-
Completion of a college-level calculus course (not brief calculus)
-
Ability to teach in-person at Kaiser Aluminum in Warrick County, IN
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Prior teaching experience in higher education
