As a Manufacturing Engineer II – Specialty in Automation at Parker Meggitt Gas Turbine Fuel Systems, you will support manufacturing innovation and efficiency through the design and implementation of automated processes and equipment. You will play a key role in improving existing production operations and supporting new product assembly, applying lean principles and continuous improvement strategies in a high-tech aerospace environment.
Working under limited supervision, this position supports capital projects, evaluates manufacturing techniques, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and improve manufacturing and automation processes for both new and existing products

Identify and implement process improvements focused on efficiency, yield, safety, and cost

Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize design specifications for manufacturing

Support equipment and tooling needs to meet product and quality goals

Investigate and resolve product or process quality issues
-
Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
-
Contribute to continuous improvement teams and lean manufacturing initiatives

Prepare documentation and provide technical guidance across cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field)

2–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, with automation experience strongly preferred
-
Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM systems and standard business software (e.g., MS Excel, PowerPoint)

Working knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret complex technical drawings
-
Understanding of lean tools and methodologies (e.g., pull systems, JIT, process mapping)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
