As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess, develop, and implement personalized therapy plans to help patients regain independence in daily activities. This role requires clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Assist patients in regaining daily living and work-related skills through therapeutic techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families on therapy exercises and techniques for continued rehabilitation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Indiana State license required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience preferred but not required.
- Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Close attention to detail in procedures, techniques, and patient positioning.
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions.
- Frequent lifting, transporting patients, and moving equipment.
- Must be able to maneuver in tight spaces around medical equipment.
- Requires prolonged standing, sitting, bending, and stooping.
- Requires normal (or corrected) vision and hearing.
