Informatics Nurse

About the Role

The Informatics Nurse plays a key role in bridging clinical practice and healthcare technology at Perry County Memorial Hospital. This position focuses on staff education, system training, and collaboration to ensure clinical teams are confident and proficient in the use of electronic health records and other healthcare technologies.

This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse with strong communication skills who enjoys teaching, collaboration, and improving clinical processes through education and informatics support.

Key Responsibilities

• Educate and train clinical staff on healthcare information systems and workflows

• Collaborate with hospital staff to support system implementation, updates, and best practices

• Provide ongoing education and support to ensure staff competency and confidence

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve documentation, efficiency, and patient care outcomes

• Support training initiatives in office, classroom, and clinical settings

• Travel as needed for education, training, or system-related initiatives

• Maintain flexibility to meet the training needs of all departments

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required

Licensure & Certification

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana required

• Current BLS certification required

Experience

• Education experience preferred

• Clinical nursing experience at Perry County Memorial Hospital preferred

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of staff

• Strong flexibility to support varying training needs and schedules

• Majority of work performed in an office or classroom setting

• Willingness to travel for education or training opportunities
