William Tell Elementary School is looking for a full-time Evening Custodian to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our school. This role is essential in maintaining a welcoming and sanitary environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently while following cleaning and security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the school.
- Clean and restock restrooms to ensure proper hygiene.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down rooms for school events and meetings.
- Conduct minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing simple repairs.
- Secure the building at the end of the shift by locking doors and turning off necessary systems.
- Follow all safety regulations and use cleaning chemicals appropriately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Must pass a background check and adhere to school district policies.
