William Tell Elementary School is hiring a passionate and skilled Elementary Teacher to join our team. Position Overview:
The Elementary Teacher will plan, instruct, and assess learning in a self-contained classroom, fostering a positive and inclusive environment where students can thrive both academically and socially. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills, a passion for teaching, and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet students’ diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement daily lesson plans aligned with Indiana State Standards

• Foster a supportive classroom climate that promotes student engagement and respect

• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments

• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to meet academic and behavioral goals

• Use technology and a variety of instructional strategies to enhance learning

• Maintain accurate student records including attendance, grades, and progress reports

• Participate in professional development, school functions, and team meetings

• Support the overall mission and values of William Tell Elementary School and the Tell City-Troy Township School Corporation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field

• Valid Indiana teaching license for elementary education (K–6)

• Strong classroom management and organizational skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to create an engaging, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment

• Proficient in integrating technology into instruction

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior teaching experience at the elementary level

• Familiarity with differentiated instruction and RTI (Response to Intervention)

• Experience with Google Classroom or other educational technology platforms
