The School Principal serves as the educational leader and administrator for the assigned school, overseeing all academic, operational, and student-related activities. This individual will be responsible for fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with state regulations, Board policies, and school initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills while working closely with teachers, students, parents, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a positive learning environment, ensuring high academic standards and student success.
- Supervise and manage the daily school operations, including faculty, staff, and students.
- Implement research-based educational programs that align with district goals and student needs.
- Conduct teacher evaluations, recruit new staff, and lead professional development efforts.
- Develop and oversee the master teaching schedule, ensuring proper staffing and curriculum alignment.
- Maintain accurate personnel and student discipline records while fostering a safe and respectful school climate.
- Promote technology integration into the classroom and school programs.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders to enhance engagement and support.
- Supervise school safety protocols, emergency preparedness drills, and building maintenance to ensure a secure learning environment.
- Oversee the school budget, instructional resources, and facility management.
Qualifications:
- Indiana Administration and Supervision Certificate required.
- Master’s or advanced degree in educational administration.
- Minimum of three years of experience in teaching and/or school administration.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions.
- High level of professional integrity, ethical conduct, and attendance.
