As the Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our industrial facility. Reporting to the Department Superintendent, you will plan and execute maintenance work orders, review notifications for accuracy, and improve work plans. This position involves close collaboration with production teams, contractors, and maintenance staff to optimize equipment performance and support the mill’s production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a culture of safety excellence, proactively supporting safety initiatives and policies.
- Review, verify, and prioritize work notifications to ensure accurate and timely execution.
- Develop and plan work orders, ensuring all necessary resources and materials are available.
- Conduct weekly scheduling meetings with Production Coordinators to align maintenance and operational needs.
- Analyze completed work plans to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in on-call duty rotation to address maintenance needs as they arise.
- Provide back-up supervision for hourly employees and contractors as required.
- Supervise contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and to standard.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Electrical Technical/Trade School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of industrial electrical experience.
- Strong commitment to safety in the workplace.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including maintenance-related systems.
- Willingness to work in industrial environments involving exposure to dust, heat, dirt, noise, and weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of industrial electrical experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Project software.
- Experience with SAP systems.
- Understanding of preventative maintenance processes and general maintenance workflows.

The Hawesville Mill is a pulp and paper facility located along the Ohio River in Hawesville, Kentucky, between Owensboro and Louisville. Our bleached hardwood pulp is used in the production of fine paper products and sold to other companies for various applications.
