As a Correctional Coordinator in the Classification Department, you will manage all aspects of reclassification (job and program assignments) for the incarcerated population at Branchville Correctional Facility. Your responsibilities will also include processing release documentation, coordinating parole board hearings, and communicating with relevant authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and compile information related to correctional programs, policies, and procedures.
- Answer general inquiries about classification and reclassification policies.
- Maintain and organize records of incarcerated individuals and program participation.
- Assist with parole board hearings and release processing.
- Collect data for program reports and budget allocations.
- Monitor and organize program-related assets.
- Prepare and distribute training materials related to classification procedures.
- Work effectively in a team environment, exercising tact and professionalism when dealing with staff, incarcerated individuals, and outside agencies.
Salary & Compensation
- Starting salary: $42,900 annually (may be adjusted based on experience or education).
Qualifications
- General knowledge of correctional program operations.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, guidelines, and agency policies.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to conduct research and compile reports.
- Ability to work collaboratively and exercise discretion in decision-making.
- Must be able to establish effective working relationships with staff and incarcerated individuals.
