This position involves direct client support, staff leadership, and advocacy to ensure each individual has the tools and resources needed to achieve their personal goals and independence.

As a Community Specialist, you will work closely with a small team to provide quality care, assist in day programs and residential homes as needed, and offer weekend and evening support for emergent coverage. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about human services, leadership, and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals in achieving their goals and gaining independence.
• Advocate for the individuals assigned to you, ensuring they receive quality care both within and outside the agency.
• Develop and implement life-changing strategies to enhance the quality of life for individuals.
• Supervise and engage with direct support staff to maintain quality services.
• Provide support in day programs and residential homes when needed.
• Be part of a regional team available for weekend and evening emergent coverage.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to grasp objects equivalent to a 12 oz. can.
• Able to pass TB & Drug Screen as well as Criminal History checks.
