As a Clerical Assistant in the Classification Department, you will be responsible for managing records, entering data, and directing incoming facility phone calls. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining accurate documentation and supporting facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general office tasks to support daily facility operations.
  • Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel.
  • Answer telephones, provide information, take messages, or transfer calls as needed.
  • Open, sort, and route incoming mail and prepare outgoing correspondence.
  • Operate office machines, including photocopiers, fax machines, and computers.
  • Maintain and organize office files and sensitive records.
  • Manage inventory, order, and distribute office supplies.
  • Deliver messages and run errands as needed.
  • Complete assigned projects in a timely and professional manner.

Salary & Compensation

  • Starting salary: $27,638 annually (may be adjusted based on experience or education).

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, proofreading skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Customer service experience with internal and external parties preferred.
