Certified Home Health Aide

As a Certified Home Health Aide at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, Indiana, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering hands-on care and emotional support to Assisted Living residents. Your primary focus will be helping residents with daily activities such as hygiene, mobility, and meals, while ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. This position is ideal for someone with a caring heart and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors in a professional care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and ambulation.

• Monitor and document vital signs under the supervision of nursing staff.

• Provide companionship and emotional reassurance to residents.

• Support residents during meals, including food service and feeding as necessary.

• Aid with safe transfers and mobility using appropriate techniques and equipment.

• Maintain clean and organized resident rooms and shared areas.

• Offer medication reminders and support residents in following care plans.

• Promptly report any changes in resident condition or concerns to nursing staff.

• Participate in care planning and contribute to a nurturing, respectful environment.

• Follow all facility policies and regulatory guidelines to ensure excellent care.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• 0–1 year of caregiving experience preferred.

• Indiana Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to follow safety protocols and work as part of a healthcare team.

• Physical ability to assist with mobility and perform caregiving tasks.
