Join Parker Aerospace, a global leader in advanced aerospace technologies, as a Buyer II at our Troy, IN facility. In this critical procurement role, you’ll be responsible for purchasing activities, supplier evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and support key supply chain strategies within a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and recommend suppliers based on production capabilities, quality, and pricing.

Issue purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement documentation.

Evaluate supplier bids and negotiate contracts for standard and non-standard items.
-
Track and resolve delivery, quality, and invoice discrepancies.
-
Conduct supplier site visits and assist with supplier certifications.

Participate in cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with Parker’s policies, industry standards, and government regulations.

Utilize SAP and supply chain software for order management and reporting.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field required.

1–3 years of procurement or supply chain experience preferred; internship or training experience considered.

Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities with general direction and minimal supervision.

Understanding of MRP systems and sourcing strategy fundamentals.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit, stand, use hands, and communicate effectively in person and via phone.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and interruptions in a fast-paced environment.

Regular office setting with occasional visits to manufacturing or supplier sites.
