Tour starts at the Tell City Historical Society Museum (located at the corner of 9th & Franklin Streets). Tour booklets are available at the museum from Noon until 4:00pm for $2 each. Sponsored by ATTC and the Tell City Historical Society.

45th Annual Schweizer Fest Golf Open

Hoosier Heights Country Club will host a two-person scramble golf tournament.  Sunday flights will be based on Saturday’s results.  To sign-up download the form here.  For more information contact Mike King at 812-719-4320.

42nd Annual Schweizer Fest Road Run

Six-mile race begins at 8 a.m. and two-mile race begins at 8:05 a.m. Kid’s fun run begins at 9:20. The race starts on 7th Street and ends on Main Street. The course winds through the streets of downtown Tell City before heading through some challenging hills for the 6-mile participants. Participants must complete an official entry form before 7:30 a.m. the day of the race. Award ceremony takes place on Musik Halle stage after the race.
Entry fee is $20 per person if received on or before Aug. 3rd or $15 per person Family Rate (when signing up 3 or more at one time). Late entries will be $25 after Aug. 3rd. Schweizer Fest 3 on 3 Basketball Tourney (High School and Adult age groups)

This double elimination tournament will be held in the Bryan Taylor Sports Arena at Tell City Jr.-Sr. High School. Registration and check in will take place from 8 – 8:45 a.m. Teams can have a maximum of four players. Entry fee is $10 per player. First place team will receive championship T-shirts. Schweizer Fest Quilt Show

Sponsored by the Lincoln Trail Quilt Guild

Check out the beauty of these works of art.  Held in the Evangelical United Church of Christ Fellowship Hall (802 10th Street, Tell City).  Patterns, books and material will be on sale.  Admission $2 per person.  Contact Antoinette Kranning at 812-547-7246 for more information.

Schweizer Fest Bench Press

Test your strength in this competition that’s been hosted by EverBody’s Fun & Fitness Center for more than 20 years!  Weigh-in begins at 9am. Competition starts at 10am.  11 divisions- 8 for men, 2 for women, and a Masters.  Entry fee is $20 by August 3rd or $25 after.  All participants will receive a shirt and awards will be given to the 1st place winner of each division.  To enter contact EverBody’s (812-547-3565) or email breanne@everbodys.com with any questions.

The Schweizer Fest Car Show will be held in the St. Paul Catholic Church parking lot.  To register a car for the event contact Polly Story at polly.story@oakwoodhs.com or Whitney Zellers at whitney.zellers@oakwoodhs.com or at 812-547-2333.  Winners will be determined by voting ballots of attendees.  Winners will be announced at 2 p.m.

Scenic Lincoln Way Train Rides

Train rides for all ages to enjoy.  Excursions will depart from the Tell City Depot (333 – 7th Street).  There will be family rides and themed rides for children with a young children’s story hour on the caboose.  Call 812-547-7933 for ticket information and pricing.

Races for babies and toddlers.  Categories are:  Crawling for 6-10 months of age then for 11-15 months of age; and Walking for 12 months of age and under and then for 13 to 18 months of age.  Registration from 11:30 am to Noon.

Museum and its displays will be open to the public.  Showings of the film “Tell City History” will be held at 1:00 and at 3:00.   (Located at the corner of 9th & Franklin Streets.)

11th Annual Schweizer Fest Wine Garden

Sponsored by German American

The annual wine garden has become a signature staple event for the Schweizer Fest. This year will be the 11th Anniversary of the wine garden. Participants will be able to sample wine, paired with cheese and Tell City Pretzels, from 11 of Indiana’s finest wineries. Winzerwald Winery; Blue Heron Winery; Monkey Hallow Winery; Patoka Lake Winery; Best Vineyard Winery; River City Winery; Indian Creek Winery; Windy Knoll Winery; Butler Winery; Hunters Ridge Winery and Scout Mountain Winery.
For an entry fee of only $15, participants will be able to sample wines and pairing. The first 200 guests will receive a limited, dated monogrammed wine glass to take home.  New this year is the People’s Choice Award.  Participants will have the opportunity to vote on the best wine.
Entertainment will be provided by local favorites, Leo Gronquist and Danny Bolin. The combination of some of Indiana’s finest wineries and parings along with live entertainment throughout the day will make this event an unforgettable afternoon for visitors. (ID is required.)

11th Annual Schweizer Fest Cornhole Tournament

The event will take place on the South end of the Beer Garden. Sign-in from 12-12:40 p.m. No early entries will be accepted. The tournament is limited to 64 teams. Both team members MUST be present at sign up. Bring your own partner, all ages are welcome. Entry fee is $20 per team. Best of three in each round. First place wins $500! Contact Angie Dubree at 812-449-2200 for information. Proceeds benefit Perry County Habitat for Humanity.

This talented Spencer County vocalist and pianist has been performing professionally for more than 25 years.  She is a studio musician, vocal instructor, stage performer and has signed with Hurricane Records.  She is joined by guitarist Chuck Flaim again this year and promises a great start to this year’s Christian Music Show.

4:45 – 5:45 p.m. – Steve Bridgeman
This founding member of “Firm Foundation Quartet” is returning this year as a solo performer.  His performance promises to be an inspirational addition.

6 – 7 p.m. – “True Vine Baptist Church Worship Team”
Based out of Ferdinand, Indiana, members are T.J. Xanders, Ethan Trusty, Josie Berg and Lizzy LaGrange.  Using guitar, percussion, violin and harmonizing vocals, this quartet wishes to bring glory to God through the performance of both classic and contemporary hymns.  They promise to bring an inspirational closing to the Christian Music Show.

6 p.m. – Midnight
Domestic & Craft Beer Garden

Back for the fourth year, area micro-breweries will offer a selection of beers on tap for beer connoisseurs including selections from Tell City Brewing Company and St Benedict’s Brew Works.  The Craft Beer Garden will be located in the Domestic beer garden area located on Main Street.  ID is required.

“The House Band & Perry County All Stars”

The House Band, and special guests will wrap up this year’s Schweizer Fest with a bang. Four hours of Rock, Modern Country and Dance music including songs you’ve never heard in the Brau Garten before.  Shane Williams on vocals, Chris Hollinden on drums, Tony Hollinden on bass, Dave Arnold on keyboards and guitar, and Larry Peter on guitar. Scary to say, but these guys have over a century of combined musical experience under their belts. Special guests include performing and recording artist Deb Rickleman, veteran pop/rock vocalist Wes Adkins, and many more.

From Eric Church and Marshall Tucker to Bruno Mars and Wang Chung, the House Band will make this Schweizer Fest Saturday a night to remember. And there will be plenty of classic rock from Journey, Styx and Foreigner, as well as your 90’s alt-rock favorites, with several surprises in store.

Party and dance with the House Band on Saturday night, until they roll Main Street up at midnight.
